Lino Printing for Summer Solstice

Saturday 21st June
10am-1pm OR 2pm- 5pm

Lino Printing with Chine Collé for Summer Solstice/Midsummer/Litha

Tap into your ‘wild’ creative side in this accessible and playful introduction into the art of Lino printing with Chine collé, guided by Maia Eden.

We will creatively explore some of the mysticism and magic of Midsummer/Litha by looking at imagery and folklore that is connected with this, the highpoint of summer, the longest day and a time of celebration of light and life.

This workshop is for complete beginners and also those with some experience. No drawing experience is necessary and Maia will show you how to design, cut and print your own unique prints.

Inspired by nature and symbolism, we will use tissue paper, old maps and books and we will also experiment with a process called Chine collé, which adds extra colour to create colourful and unique prints.

All materials will be provided.
